Jackson Hanks is a former mayor of his hometown, Palestine, Texas, serving three terms in that capacity. During his tenure, he received the prestigious Road Hand Award from the Texas Department of Transportation, being its 128th recipient in the State of Texas.
Jackson is a board-certified lawyer in Texas with a specialization in residential real estate law and farm & ranch real estate law. He also owns and manages Texas First Title Company, LLC. In 2015, Jackson was voted by the local chamber as the community’s Citizen of the Year.
Jackson’s work as a lawyer and title company manager does not define him. Nor do all his efforts spend volunteering for non-profit organizations that work to improve the quality of life in the community. Those who meet and work with Jackson learn he is an encourager and does his best to empower everyone to become their best. He is the author of A Survivor’s Surrender, a book about his life experiences and his journey of healing from a highly traumatic childhood and helping others to gain inspiration and begin their own healing.
